LNG2026 opened its doors to the leading global LNG industry in a superb ceremony presided over by His Excellency Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of Energy of the State of Qatar and President and CEO of QatarEnergy.

The Secretary General of the International Gas Union (IGU), Mr Menelaos (Mel) Ydreos  formally launched - on behalf of the owners of the LNG series - the proceedings of the 21st edition of the International Conference and Exhibition on Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), in a rousing address praising the industry’s efforts in innovation, optimisation and in meeting the global energy needs of both developed and developing economies.

The LNG Conference Series, established in 1968, is the world’s leading forum for the exchange of information on liquefied natural gas (LNG). Representatives of the co-owners of the event - IGU,  GTI Energy, and the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) - joined Mr Ydreos on the stage to formally mark the launch of the LNG2026 exhibition!

The 22nd edition of the International Conference and Exhibition on Liquified Natural Gas - LNG2029 - will be held in Brisbane, Australia, and hosted by the Australian Energy Producers, together with the Australian Gas Industry Trust.
