Global Natural Gas Insights - 2019 Edition

The International Gas Union is pleased to present the second edition of the Global Natural Gas Insights.

This handy booklet summarizes the value of natural gas for meeting the most pressing global energy, climate, and economic challenges.

The 2019 edition contains the latest information on natural gas and its role in helping economies grow, lifting people out of poverty, and cleaning up the environment, while supporting reliable access to modern energy.

This edition also contains a special section on methane emissions, and the opportunities that their further reductions present for the industry.

The 32nd European Gas Regulatory Forum (also known as the Madrid Forum), which gathered key stakeholders across the European gas sector to discuss opportunities and challenges and to share information on European gas market regulations, took place during the first week of June. Discussions centered on the prospects for the next EU gas package (2020), including cutting methane emissions.
