Australia to host LNG2029
The 22nd International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas
The LNG Events Series Steering Committee Chair, Mr Andrea Stegher, has announced that Australia has been selected as the host country for LNG2029, the 22nd International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas.
Mr Stegher, representing the three owners of the event – the International Gas Union, GTI Energy (GTI) and the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) said: “Australia’s key role in the future of the global LNG industry and the innovations it has proposed for LNG2029 made it an ideal host for the world’s premiere LNG industry event.”
The LNG Events Series is the world’s leading LNG event, and, since LNG1 in Chicago in 1968, it has set the standard for technical and commercial innovation and strategic development.
Stegher said: “”LNG continues to enhance global energy security and increase the flexibility of access to abundant global gas supplies. In 2029. Australia will celebrate its 40th anniversary of the first LNG cargo delivery. By hosting LNG2029, Australia will help enrich the debate over the role of LNG in the world’s future energy mix and create a conducive environment for growing LNG’s momentum in an environmentally challenged world eager for a cleaner and more economical alternative to traditional fuels.”
The LNG Event Series is held every three years. Most recently, LNG2023 was held in Vancouver, Canada, and the upcoming LNG2026 will take place in Doha, Qatar.
