IGU Newsletter - January 2016

The first IGU newsletter introduces the New Year with a glimpse back to two diplomatic gas forums organized by IGU in the context of COP 21 and the new global climate agreement. The Paris agreement and questions on how to provide a sustainable energy future are still highly relevant and will continue to be so also in 2016. Read more about the events, including short interviews with Remi Eriksen, Group President and CEO DNV GL; Bjørn Otto Sverdrup, Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Statoil ASA; and Martin Layfield, Global Gas Segment Director, DNV GL ­Oil and Gas.

New to the edition is the section "IGU Committee Corner" that will include relevant and important contributions from the IGU's 11 Committees and two Task Forces. This issue feature the paper "Convergence of Power & Gas & Renewables" as submitted by the R&D and Innovation Committee.
