Natural Gas Drives Innovation In Mobility

Natural gas has become a clean and economic alternative to drive today’s mobility. The fuel has become a natural part of transportation choices across the globe, for personal and public transport, heavy duty trucks, as well as marine and rail transport.

Vehicle Manufacturers now offer a wide selection of CNG-fueled vehicles, ranging from heavy transport to consumer personal transportation.

The technology behind gas in transportation is two-fold: small scale LNG as well as compressed natural gas - CNG. Natural gas cars are powered by an internal combustion engine, just like petrol or diesel powered cars.

A CNG vehicle looks and drives exactly as a traditional internal combustion engine vehicle does, but with the following advantages:

  • Produces 20% less CO2 than a vehicle that is powered by traditional fossil based fuels, reducing local air pollution
  • Is quieter and generates less vibrations than vehicles running on other fossil based fuels
  • Gives out less odor than a traditional diesel engine
  • Has a similar range as other traditional fossil fuel power vehicles at lower cost
