Charter Membership
IGU Charter Members represent the most representative gas entity of a particular country or area.
Traditionally, the gas industry of a country, or, on an exceptional basis, of a geographical area, is represented within IGU by one Charter Member considered to be the most representative gas entity (normally an association but also company or gas department of energy companies and the like) of this country or area.
Charter members have voting rights in all IGU bodies.
In order to apply for IGU Charter membership kindly fill out the application form at the end of this paged and send it to the IGU Secretary General by letter or fax. The attached "doc" version allows you to type in the required information directly, and then you can sign it and return it by letter,fax or as mail with pdf attachement.
In addition to the application, you have to enclose substantial information about your activities and assets - as a minimum the annual accounts for the last two years or similar. This is in order for the IGU Management to evaluate and the IGU Council to decide on your membership.
